Cara Christous is a newer East Boston resident, living there since 2023. She was first introduced to GreenRoots through multiple volunteer opportunities with her employer. She helped clean up garden beds and plant street trees in Chelsea. She was reintroduced through GreenRoots Teaching Kitchen, where you will often see her with her niece.
Cara likes to stay active in her neighborhood: organizing cleanups, maintaining gardens, and participating in many other volunteer opportunities that come up. She has worked in financial services for over 10 years, but previously taught high school English in South Korea for 2.5 years.
