Oscar Figueroa

Oscar is a local gardener and art director. As a former member of the Urban Farm Crew, Oscar has become increasingly engaged with GreenRoots’ urban growing space for several years. Now, he manages our hydroponic freight farm. Oscar has grown from a teen leader to a sophisticated farmer who has been growing his knowledge and experience with hydroponic farming. As a talented artist, Oscar has combined his love for and skill for art with his work to achieve health equity. An example of this can be found in his educational comics focusing on air quality and public health. Oscar’s favorite activity outside of distributing locally grown crops is carrying out free and fun art classes at our urban farm for the public.
